Digital Design
Converting from conventional printing to digital delivery requires a designer to re-examine the criteria used to determine the most efficient output size and configuration of the printed piece. Traditional commercially printed pieces are designed to maximize the available press sheet, while digitally designed pieces are more often configured to output in one of the standard digital page sizes, ie. 8" x 11", 8" x 14", or 11" x 17". As part of our sales process, we offer sample redesign services to allow both the customer and 4Site Systems to determine the most cost-efficient digital redesign based on the specific piece of equipment being reviewed.
Variable Setup
Depending on the variable software package being used, file conversion from a standard Quark EPS file, to TIFF, JPEG, PostScript, or PDF may be necessary to enable loading of the design file to facilitate the integration of additional personalized images or database information into the process. The database itself may also need to be converted from mainframe AFP or Metacode to PostScript to enable the integration of the design image and database in a common file format. As part of our sales process, we offer test conversion of design and database files to allow both the customer and 4Site Systems to determine the most cost-efficient process to use to deliver variable datastreams.
eForm Design
An eForm is to printing as TV is to radio. They provide additional options as to how a customer chooses to execute the business processes associated with the specific form or marketing piece. Conventional business processes often involve the production of multiple part documents, where parts are used to deliver information to multiple departments or companies that are involved in the business process. When a file is re-designed to enable electronic delivery in addition to printed delivery, this provides a business the opportunity to examine and improve current processes.
As digital production devices evolve, the ability to incorporate intelligent production, finishing and mailing into a new business process provides additional opportunity to reduce the expense associated with delivering information. eForms design software has the ability to add an identification mark or bar code to facilitate inline recognition and to facilitate the automation of specific production and delivery functions, ie. sorting and collating documents, direct insertion into envelopes, and sorting of outgoing mail to facilitate CASS and PAVE presorting discounts.
New scanning technology also provides an opportunity to create more efficient information delivery processes. Bar codes can be added to forms that incorporate all of the information contained in the form, or optical character recognition (OCR) can be used to identify and capture specific key blocks of information that can then be directly imported into an organizational ERP or ECM system. As part of the 4Site Systems sales process, we provide consultative selling to determine the most cost-efficient process, and the right tools to be able to execute this process.
Web Design
The Internet has been coined the "Information Highway". This refers to the Internet's ability to be used to collect, provide and deliver information at a very low cost to the end-user. Web sites now function as company business cards, sales tools, and provide a mechanism to collect information that can be integrated into both conventional and electronic business processes. If the overall process involves the collection of information from multiple sources, ie. the Internet, internal mainframe and database information, sales driven solutions, or inline recognition of scanned documents, then a more comprehensive software suite may be needed to execute these functions. As part of the 4Site Systems sales process, we evaluate business process requirements and recommend solutions that can be integrated into your current Internet infrastructure.
Fax / eMail
A common misconception in developing new business processes is that the new process needs to be entirely electronic as opposed to paper based. Because different customers are at different points in the acceptance of new technology, it becomes necessary to offer options as to how information will be delivered. Establishing these options creates the basis for movement to more efficient processes, and then the execution of these new processes remains a work in progress. Depending on the audience and the amount of information to be delivered, both fax and email provide electronic delivery options that can be used in conjunction with conventional print. As part of the 4Site Systems sales process, we evaluate business process requirements and recommend solutions that can facilitate the required delivery options.
Installation
4Site Systems software and equipment products require a degree of expertise to be able to install on your network. We therefore take responsibility for the installation and testing of all of our products to ensure long-term customer satisfaction. Upon request, we can physically execute the installation functions, and can quote these services as part of the development of an overall solutions package.
Training
4Site Systems software and equipment products require different degrees of training to be able to deliver the benefits that we outline as part of our sales process. We therefore take responsibility providing training options, and maintain the responsibility that the outlined training requirements be delivered and executed as part of an overall solutions package.
Technical Support
4Site Systems provides first tier technical support on software solutions, and works with several National service organizations to provide a full range of technical support and service options for all equipment.
